About the Journal
Kaltara Journal of Health Sciences (KJHSc) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Politeknik Kaltara, Indonesia. The journal serves as an academic platform for researchers, academics, healthcare professionals, and practitioners to publish and disseminate original research findings and scholarly review articles in health sciences and related interdisciplinary fields.
KJHSc welcomes scientific contributions from national and international institutions and promotes collaboration across health disciplines.
Focus and Scope
The journal focuses on the advancement of health sciences, healthcare practices, public health interventions, and health-related technological innovations.
The scope of the journal includes five major areas:
1. Nursing
Nursing science, clinical nursing practice, nursing education, nursing management, community health nursing, maternal and child nursing, mental health nursing, gerontological nursing, and evidence-based nursing care.
2. Pharmacy
Pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacy, pharmacology, pharmaceutical technology, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical chemistry, drug development, pharmaceutical care, medication safety, and community pharmacy.
3. Health Promotion
Health education, health communication, health behavior, community empowerment, disease prevention, health literacy, public health interventions, and the development and evaluation of health promotion programs.
4. Occupational Health and Safety
Occupational health, workplace safety, occupational diseases, hazard identification, risk assessment, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, accident prevention, and occupational health and safety management systems.
5. Digital Health and Health Informatics
Health information systems, electronic health records, artificial intelligence in healthcare, machine learning for health applications, medical image analysis, Internet of Things (IoT) for health monitoring, telemedicine, health data analytics, smart healthcare, and smart city technologies supporting healthcare services.
Types of Manuscripts
KJHSc accepts original research articles and scholarly review articles that are relevant to the journal's focus and scope.
All submitted manuscripts are evaluated for their scientific relevance, methodological quality, originality, and contribution to health sciences.
